A wonderful resource for people seeking recovery from ME-CFS & Fibromyalgia

You have to ask yourself, who can best support you with your recovery from ME/CFS & Fibromyalgia.  Someone who has it or someone who doesn't?

People who are unwell, can be in all different stages of the illness emotionally.  I know I spent a lot of my time feeling angry, hopeless and even bitter after trying the seemingly endless promises of treatments that many might describe as snake oil and that had little or no benefit.  As my illness continued to worsen over the years with seemingly no hope for recovery, it was often difficult to show a positive attitude.

So understandably, connections within the ME/CFS & Fibromyalgia community can often be mixed and unfortunately not always positive.

In my view, people who have walked the path before you and recovered are wonderful at giving support but are often attacked or find it difficult to continue to allocate time to help others.

In this short video I share my thoughts on support communities and what makes the community of hope for recovery from M.E. or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome so special.  Don't let the name put you off if you have been diagnosed for Fibromyalgia, the group supports people with both.  If you are interested, you can apply to join, but please be mindful of the rules of the group.

  PLEASE NOTE: Series of Interviews with a member of the community:

Note that I have recently also given a series of 4 interviews to the group sharing
  1. What ME/CFS/Fibromyalgia really feels like (great video to share with friends and family);
  2. What triggered my breakthrough for recovery from ME/CFS/Fibromyalgia;
  3. The actions I took to recover;
  4. What I learned both from my own recovery as well as the many people I have seen recover since.
If you don't use Facebook or don't wish to join the group and wish to see the videos anyway, just click on THIS LINK to access them.
